Metro Manila, other areas stay under GCQ until June 30; Cebu City reverted to ECQ

Metro Manila will remain under general community quarantine (GCQ) until June 30.

Cebu City has been reverted to enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) until June 30 due to a surge in COVID-19 cases and increased critical care utilization.

Talisay City will be under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) until June 30.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque stated that the President's decision on Cebu City's quarantine classification is final until June 30.

Roque urged the Cebu City government to accept the decision, emphasizing the city is at a "dangerous level" and cooperation is needed.

Several other provinces and cities remain under GCQ, including Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Santiago City, Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Tarlac, Olongapo City, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, Occidental Mindoro, Bohol, Negros Oriental, Siquijor, and the cities of Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu, Davao and Zamboanga.
