Jack Ma to donate 50,000 coronavirus testing kits to Philippines
The Jack Ma Foundation, in partnership with the Manny Pacquiao Foundation, is donating 50,000 COVID-19 test kits to the Philippines to help combat the virus.
Senator Manny Pacquiao stated that the donation came from his 'good friend,' Alibaba Group founder Jack Ma.
Pacquiao will also personally donate 700,000 face masks that he purchased from abroad.
The face masks and testing kits were cleared by the Bureau of Customs and are currently being inventoried by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
A turnover ceremony for the donations is expected to take place at Camp Crame in Quezon City, with Senator Pacquiao, PNP Chief Archie Gamboa, and MMDA chief Danny Lim in attendance.
