China to aid Philippines with 100k COVID-19 test kits
The Department of Health (DOH) will enhance its COVID-19 testing capabilities with donations from China and South Korea.
China has donated 100,000 test kits, 100,000 surgical masks, 10,000 N95 masks, and 10,000 sets of personal protective equipment.
South Korea has donated 500 test kits and pledged more.
A P240 million fund has also been allocated by the government for 40,000 tests.

President Duterte has placed the Philippines under a state of calamity, and Luzon is under enhanced community quarantine until April 13.
The DOH is considering establishing a specialized COVID-19 hospital and will ensure sufficient ambulances are available.
