The SM Group has pledged Php100 million to support government hospitals in the Philippines during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The allocation includes personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face masks, gowns, visors, hoods, gloves, and shoe covers, along with urgent medical supplies.

Assistance has specifically been extended to the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) and the Research Institute for Tropical Management (RITM) to address their immediate needs and enhance laboratory testing capabilities.

SM is also distributing PPEs and medical supplies through the UP Medical Foundation Inc. to benefit a broader network of hospitals.

Furthermore, SM is collaborating with Manila Healthtek Inc. to provide 20,000 free COVID-19 tests to government hospitals, pending approval.
