ITCZ to bring scattered rains over South Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on Thursday.

Areas such as Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte, and Davao Occidental may experience moderate to heavy rains, potentially causing flash floods or landslides.

The Bicol Region and other parts of MIMAROPA, Visayas, and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warns that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms in affected areas across the country.

Light to moderate winds from the east to southeast are expected in Northern and Central Luzon, with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds from the southwest to southeast, with slight to moderate coastal waters.
