ITCZ, easterlies to bring scattered rains nationwide

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), easterlies, and thunderstorms are expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rain showers across the Philippines on Saturday, July 6.

Areas including Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and MIMAROPA will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ, with the potential for flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rains.

The Bicol Region and Quezon will also have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, carrying the same risks of flash floods or landslides.

The rest of Mindanao and the rest of Luzon can expect clearer weather, with hot and humid conditions throughout the day, but a high chance of thunderstorm activity in the late afternoon to evening.

Metro Manila and other parts of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies, with risks of hazards during severe thunderstorms.

Luzon is forecast to have light to moderate easterly winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate south to southeast winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
