Hontiveros probes if Mayor Alice Guo used another person's identity

Senator Risa Hontiveros is investigating the possibility that Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Leal Guo may have assumed the identity of another Filipino woman.

Hontiveros presented an NBI clearance under the name Alice Leal Guo, which she claims belongs to a different individual with the same birthdate, July 12, 1986, and place of birth in Tarlac.

NBI agents and GMA Integrated News were unable to locate the exact address on the clearance, as the listed street did not exist.

The couple living at the address on the clearance stated there was no "Alice Leal Guo" at the residence and that they were not affiliated with anybody of the same name.

Hontiveros questioned the coincidence of two Alice Leal Guo being born on the same date and location, and the timing of the NBI clearance application relative to a delayed birth registration.

This inquiry arises from ongoing investigations into Mayor Guo's alleged links to a raided Pogo hub in Bamban.

Earlier findings by Hontiveros and Senator Sherwin Gatchalian suggested that Mayor Guo's true identity is Chinese national Guo Hua Ping.
