Southwest Monsoon to bring rains to several PH areas Tuesday

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is expected to bring cloudy skies and rains to several parts of the Philippines on Tuesday, August 6.

Western Visayas, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan may experience scattered rains and thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rainfall, posing a risk of flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila, Mindanao, Bicol Region, the rest of Visayas, the rest of Calabarzon, and the rest of Mimaropa will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

The rest of Luzon will experience similar conditions due to localized thunderstorms, which could also trigger flash floods and landslides.

PAGASA forecasts light to moderate winds and coastal conditions across the country.

A Low Pressure Area located 1,090 kilometers east northeast of extreme northern Luzon has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression and will not affect the country's weather in the next 24 hours.
