Habagat to bring rains to Luzon, Western Visayas

The southwest monsoon, or Habagat, is expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains to parts of Luzon and Western Visayas.

The Ilocos Region, Zambales, and Bataan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Western Visayas can anticipate partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, with possible flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The remaining areas of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.

Wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon is moderate, moving southwest to west, with moderate coastal waters.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds, moving southeast to southwest, with slight to moderate coastal waters.
