Metro Manila roads passable despite heavy rains during SONA

Despite heavy habagat rains on President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s fourth State of the Nation Address, several roads in Metro Manila remained passable to all types of vehicles.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) provided regular updates on the condition of major thoroughfares throughout the day.

Flooding was reported in Malabon City, specifically on F. Sevilla Boulevard in Tañong and Rizal Avenue Extension near Malabon City Hall, with water levels reaching half knee-deep.

In Mandaluyong City, the EDSA Shaw Tunnel (Northbound) experienced gutter-deep flooding but remained passable.

Valenzuela City also reported gutter-deep flooding, approximately 8 inches, on MacArthur Highway near BDO Dalandanan, Wilcon Dalandanan, and at the T. Santiago corner Cuevas intersection in Dalandanan, all of which were still open to traffic.
