Duterte: Gov't has disbursed P98-B for emergency subsidies
The Philippine government has disbursed P98 billion out of P100.9 billion allotted for emergency subsidies.
President Duterte reported that the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) provided P2.614 billion to 522,855 employees through its COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP).
DOLE also allocated P459 million for 44,878 overseas Filipino workers through the CAMP Abot-Kamay and Pagtulong (AKAP) program, and P993.1 million for 254,071 informal workers via the Tulong Panghanapbuhay para sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.
The Department of Agriculture (DA) utilized P2.956 billion to provide financial assistance to 266,284 rice farmers.
Over 12.1 million low-income families have received P65.8 billion in social amelioration program (SAP) emergency subsidies, representing 67 percent of the 18 million targeted households.
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) processed P3.6 billion for 120,798 grantees in private higher education institutions through the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES).
Additionally, CHED processed P480 million for state and local universities and colleges under the TES program.
CHED is also facilitating the repatriation and transport of stranded students and educational institution personnel.
