A newly improved OFW lounge, funded by the San Miguel Corp.-led New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), has been inaugurated at NAIA Terminal 1.
This marks the second lounge of its kind, with the first having opened at Terminal 3 in July 2024, and the airport has since accommodated over 706,000 OFWs.
The lounges are open 24/7 and offer complimentary food and drinks, resting areas, charging stations, and secure baggage storage.
The inauguration was led by First Lady Louise "Liza" Araneta-Marcos and NNIC president Ramon Ang, alongside DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac and OWWA Administrator Patricia Yvonne Caunan.
The OFW Lounge at Terminal 1 was initially introduced last year as a collaborative project involving the House of Representatives, OWWA, DMW, and the Manila International Airport Authority.
These airport lounges are accessible to OFWs free of charge, irrespective of their ticket type.
