DOH delivers 2nd and 3rd batch of 1M PPE sets from China

The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) has delivered the second and third batches of one million PPE sets, procured by the Department of Health from China for P1.8 billion, to health workers and frontliners.

The PPE sets, which arrived on April 6 and 7, were transferred to the OCD headquarters for distribution.

Each batch consisted of 12,000 PPE sets.

The second batch, including items like goggles, coverall suits, and masks, was distributed to seven hospitals in Metro Manila, one regional hospital in Central Luzon, and a quarantine center in Manila.

Beneficiaries included the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM), Veterans Memorial Medical Center, and the Ninoy Aquino Stadium quarantine center.

The third batch was turned over to nine hospitals in Metro Manila and one hospital each in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, and Calabarzon.

Notable recipients of the third batch include the Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, and Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center.
