Almost 1,500 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) have returned to the Philippines amidst the global COVID-19 pandemic.
This includes 262 sailors from Barbados and 320 from the United Arab Emirates who arrived on Tuesday.
The Barbados group were crew members of vessels Harmony of the Seas, Azamara Pursuit, and Celebrity Equinox.
Previously, 498 workers from Macau and Kuwait, 183 from Phuket, and 223 from Hong Kong and France also arrived.
This brings the total number of repatriated Filipinos to over 60,000 since the program began in February.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is also working on repatriating stranded workers from Los Angeles and Saudi Arabia.
