Caraga COVID-19 cases rise to 32 PUIs

The Caraga region in Northeastern Mindanao remains free of COVID-19.

However, the number of Patients Under Investigation (PUIs) has risen to 32, with 13 admitted to hospitals and 19 under home quarantine.

The region is still awaiting laboratory test results for these PUIs from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine.

The number of Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) has increased to 6,485.

Of the PUMs, 1,507 have completed their 14-day quarantine without developing symptoms, while 4,978 are still under observation.

Health officials are urging the public to stay home, remain calm, and cooperate with implemented protocols to curb the spread of the virus.

DOH 13 Regional Director Dr. Jose R. Llacuna, Jr. emphasized the importance of following directives from local government units and the Inter-Agency Task Force.
