Caraga COC filing peaceful, PRO-13 reports

The Police Regional Office-13 reported that the filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COC) in the Caraga region from October 1 to 8 was generally peaceful and free from any violent incidents or disturbances.

Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer stated that based on reports from field units and the operations center, no untoward incidents were recorded throughout the region during the COC filing period.

PRO-13 remains committed to maintaining peace throughout the ongoing political exercise, with police personnel staying vigilant in different areas across the region as ordered by PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Alan M. Nazarro.

To ensure the safety and integrity of the electoral process, PRO-13 will continue to implement extensive security operations, including 24/7 checkpoints in strategic locations and increased police visibility.

Over 3,100 police personnel were deployed across the Caraga region to maintain peace and order during the week-long filing of COCs.
