Amihan brings cooler temps to Luzon, easterlies to Mindanao

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will affect most of Luzon, bringing slightly lower temperatures and light to moderate rains.

Easterlies will prevail over Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao, bringing hot weather accompanied by isolated rains and thunderstorms.

Areas in Caraga, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi may experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, with a risk of flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rains.

Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and Aurora may have cloudy skies with rains due to the Amihan, also posing a risk of flash floods or landslides.

The Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the monsoon, with no significant impact anticipated.

Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies, with a possibility of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters in Northern Luzon are predicted to be rough to very rough, while Central Luzon will see moderate to rough conditions.

The rest of the country is expected to have slight to moderate coastal waters.
