Amihan, shear line to bring rains in several PH areas

Several areas in the Philippines will experience rains on Wednesday due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and shear line in the next 24 hours.

Visayas, Sorsogon, Masbate, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Aurora, Quezon, and the rest of the Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with rains from the Amihan, which may trigger flash floods or landslides.

The Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be observed throughout the rest of the country due to the easterlies, with potential for flash floods or landslides.

Winds will be strong while coastal waters will be rough over Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas.

The rest of Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind conditions and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.
