Amihan brings rains to North Luzon; Mindanao faces flood risks

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is expected to bring cloudy skies with light rains to Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and Aurora.

The Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Amihan.

Easterlies will prevail in the rest of the country, with Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental potentially experiencing cloudy skies and scattered rains and thunderstorms.

These moderate to at times heavy rains in Mindanao may possibly result in flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, with flash floods or landslides possible during severe thunderstorms.

Extreme Northern Luzon will experience strong wind conditions and rough coastal water conditions.
