The MV Magic Seas was attacked and sank on July 6, with the Filipino seafarers escaping alongside Vietnamese and Romanian crew members.

Separately, the MV Eternity C, with 21 Filipino crew members, was also attacked by the Houthis, resulting in eight rescues and 13 unaccounted for.
