Several neophyte players for the Alas Pilipinas men's volleyball team are expressing excitement about competing in the FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship.

Spiker Buds Buddin described his journey from the province to Palarong Pambansa, then to the UAAP with NU, and now potentially the national team as a dream come true where things have fallen into place.

Louie Ramirez, a two-time NCAA MVP, emphasized the significance of representing the country at the world championship level, calling it a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and the biggest moment of his career.

Jade Disquitado, along with teammates Peng Taguibolos, Eco Adajar, and Leo Ordiales, echoed the sentiment of pride and the realization of an unexpected achievement.

The Filipino team will face Tunisia on Saturday, Egypt on September 16, and Iran on September 18, all at the MOA venue.
