AFP to hold simultaneous gun salutes for PNoy

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) will hold simultaneous gun salutes for former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III or PNoy.

These simultaneous gun salutes will commence once the urn with PNoy's ashes leaves the Church of the Gesu in Ateneo de Manila University.

Artillery guns will be fired at saluting stations in Camp Aguinaldo, Fort Bonifacio, Fort Abad, and Villamor Air Base at one-minute intervals.

A 21-gun salute will be held at the gravesite before the flag is folded and handed to the family.

Following the flag ceremony, military camps across the country will also commence their gun salutes.

The AFP chief, General Cirilito Sobejana, stated that President Aquino "steadfastly steered our country towards economic stability and through the many disasters and challenges that we faced during his term as our leader."
