PNP personnel affected by 3 typhoons receive aid

Super Typhoon Pepito, along with Severe Tropical Storm Kristine and Super Typhoon Ofel, has affected 4,781 Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel.

The PNP Directorate for Police Community Relations (DPCR) is distributing aid through the Police Community Affairs and Development Group (PCADG) to affected officers, some of whom sustained injuries, and whose homes and police stations were damaged.

The majority of affected personnel are in Catanduanes province and parts of Northern Luzon.

Cash relief is being provided as it is considered the quickest and most effective form of assistance.

Police offices in regions not directly hit by the typhoons have also contributed to assisting those impacted.

The PNP is also ensuring the unimpeded flow of goods on major roads and providing donations to local government units to support their recovery efforts.
