3 weather systems to bring rains nationwide

Three weather systems are expected to bring rains across the Philippines on Monday, December 23, 2024.

Tropical Depression Romina, although already outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, will cause scattered rains and thunderstorms over Palawan due to its trough.

The shear line will bring scattered rains to the Visayas, Bicol Region, Calabarzon, and the rest of Mimaropa.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or 'amihan' will bring rains to Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Bulacan, and Nueva Ecija, with isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon.

Mindanao will experience isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA also warned of strong to gale winds and rough to very rough seas in northern Luzon and the eastern sections of central and southern Luzon.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas are expected across the Visayas, the rest of Luzon, and the northeastern section of Mindanao.
