102 OFWs repatriated from Côte d’Ivoire and USA arrive in Manila
A total of 102 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Côte d'Ivoire and the USA were repatriated and arrived in Manila on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.
The group consisted of five land-based workers of Japanese company Toa Corporation in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, and 97 seafarers from the cruise ship MS Norwegian Joy, docked in Los Angeles, USA.
Their work was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Upon arrival at NAIA Terminal 1, the repatriates underwent mandatory inspection and safety protocols supervised by the Department of Health-Bureau of Quarantine.
They will also undergo a 14-day mandatory facility quarantine.
The repatriation was facilitated by the DFA, highlighting #Malasakit.
