Zubiri urges Exec to act on China's water cannon attack

Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri urged the Executive Department to take action after China's Coast Guard used a water cannon against a Philippine Coast Guard vessel near Ayungin Shoal on August 5.

Zubiri called for better strategies, including joint patrols with allies in the West Philippine Sea.

Senators unanimously adopted Senate Resolution No. 718, condemning China’s continued incursions.

In his privilege speech, Zubiri questioned why China is difficult to befriend and love.
