Zubiri: Marcos respects Senate's stand on WPS

Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri says President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. respects the Senate's stand on the West Philippine Sea (WPS) dispute.

Zubiri made this statement after a casual dinner meeting with Marcos at Malacañang, where they discussed flooding, agriculture, and the WPS.

On Tuesday, the Senate unanimously passed a resolution condemning China’s continued aggression in the WPS and calling out its refusal to acknowledge the 2016 UN-backed court ruling invalidating most of its claims in the South China Sea.
