DOH: No need to choose which COVID-19 vaccine to get

The DOH stated on Tuesday that Filipinos do not need to choose which COVID-19 vaccine to receive, as all vaccines will be considered equally safe and effective once granted emergency use authorization by the government.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque previously advised against being choosy with vaccine brands, suggesting a preference for Pfizer over Chinese firms reflects colonial mentality.

In response, Senate Majority Leader Miguel Zubiri argued that Filipinos should have the right to choose their preferred COVID-19 vaccine brand.
