Marcos downplays Senate resolution on China harassment

President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. downplayed a Senate resolution urging the Philippine government to bring China's harassment of Filipino vessels before the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

Marcos, speaking from Malaysia on Thursday, July 27, said foreign policy is set by the executive branch and not the legislature.

The President emphasized that while Senator Risa Hontiveros can file resolutions, it does not translate to action at the UNGA.
