Zamboanga City's active COVID-19 cases drop, 17 Omicron cases confirmed

Zamboanga City's active COVID-19 cases continue to decline, dropping to 1,519 as of February 9 from a peak of 2,631 on February 1.

The city health office reported that the majority of new recoveries (313) outpaced new infections (86) on February 9.

As of February 9, 17 Omicron variant cases have been confirmed in Zamboanga City by the Philippine Genome Center; all infected individuals had already recovered before confirmation.
