Palace: Unfair to compare Davao, QC Covid-19 case counts

Malacaōang said it is unfair to compare Davao City with Quezon City regarding coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) case counts.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque noted that the two cities have different community quarantine classifications, which affects their infection rates.

Roque pointed out that Metro Manila, including Quezon City, was under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) and modified ECQ for a significant period, while Davao City has been under general community quarantine (GCQ).

OCTA Research reported that Davao City had overtaken Quezon City in terms of average daily Covid-19 cases with 213 compared to Quezon City's 207.
