Bacolod reports 7th case, first death due to COVID-19

As of Friday, April 3, Bacolod City has seven confirmed COVID-19 cases, with a new case reported involving a 48-year-old male with travel history to Los Angeles and Manila.

The patient is in stable condition but suffers from hypertension and polymyositis.

On Thursday, the city recorded its first death due to COVID-19, a 62-year-old female who was a close contact of Patient No. 7.

Health authorities confirmed local transmission in Bacolod City on Wednesday, indicating that the source of infection is within the city.
