VP Sara tells teachers: Don't abuse children

Vice President Sara Duterte reminded teachers during World Teachers' Day in Butuan City to not harm children physically, sexually, or verbally, using the term 'haram,' which means forbidden in Islam.

Duterte's remarks came after a Grade 5 student died days after allegedly being slapped by his teacher at Peñafrancia Elementary School in Antipolo City.

She emphasized that children are entrusted to teachers' care and stressed the importance of positive actions that benefit students.
