Sara Duterte continues Japan trip despite impeachment

Impeached Vice President Sara Duterte and her half-sister Veronica 'Kitty' Duterte are continuing their travels in Japan, as evidenced by recent posts on Kitty's social media accounts.

The duo has been visiting temples and scenic spots, with recent posts showing them dancing to ABBA’s classic hit 'Super Trouper' and dining out together.

Despite the ongoing political turmoil, including her impeachment and criminal complaints filed against her, Vice President Duterte was seen posing with her sister in Japan.

Last week, Sara Duterte faced impeachment by the House of Representatives and is set for an impeachment trial in the Senate by July; this midterm election will determine the composition of the Senate, crucial to her legal proceedings.

The National Bureau of Investigation filed complaints for incitement to sedition and grave threat against Vice President Duterte on February 5, the same day Kitty posted their photos together.
