NTF spox hails health workers as heroes during vaccination

Health workers and front-liners are being referred to as heroes by NTF Deputy Chief Implementer Vince Dizon during the vaccination program at Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital in Tala, Caloocan City.

Dizon, along with hospital chief Dr. Alfonso Victorino Famaran and chief nurse Samuel Sumilang, were among the first to receive the Sinovac vaccine on Monday.

Famaran stated that vaccinating 180 health workers is meant to demonstrate their crucial role in achieving herd immunity, though he acknowledged it will be challenging to convince the public to get vaccinated.
