Duterte to welcome Sinovac vaccines Sunday

President Rodrigo Duterte will lead the turnover ceremony of 600,000 doses of Sinovac's COVID-19 vaccines donated by China on Sunday, February 28.

Senator Christopher Go and presidential spokesperson Harry Roque confirmed that Duterte will personally welcome the arrival of the vaccines at around 5:00 PM.

Roque stated that the President’s presence is a manifestation of gratitude towards China for donating the vaccines.

Of the initial batch, about 100,000 doses will be used to immunize soldiers while the rest will be allocated to medical frontliners and other priority groups starting next week.
