Vico Sotto wins Pasig mayoral race for third term

Incumbent Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto secured a landslide victory for his third and final term as mayor on May 12, with 351,392 votes, significantly outpacing opponents Sara Discaya, Cory Palma, and Eagle Ayaon.

Sotto was officially proclaimed the winner of the mayoral race in Pasig City on Tuesday, expressing gratitude to the voters for their trust and support.

Incumbent vice mayor candidate Dodot Jaworski also won a second term with 324,265 votes, while incumbent Rep. Roman Romulo clinched his third and final term as Pasig Lone District Representative with 388,707 votes.

Under Sotto's administration, the local government has saved at least P1 billion yearly through tightened procurement processes, contributing to a city budget growth from P10 billion in 2019 to P22.4 billion in 2025.

Sotto emphasized that his focus will be on strengthening ongoing reforms and improving governance over the next three years, noting that Pasig has seen significant improvements since he took office six years ago.

Despite Discaya's efforts to portray Sotto's agenda as ineffectual and her own campaign focused on charity work and big infrastructure projects, the results affirm Sotto’s reformist agenda and his focus on good governance.
