Vico Sotto re-elected Pasig mayor for third term

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto was re-elected for his third term on May 12, receiving 352,392 votes compared to Sara Discaya's 29,591.

Sotto vowed to institutionalize reforms and expand social services after winning by a landslide in the elections, emphasizing that future leaders of Pasig should find it harder to become corrupt and easier to act morally.

Despite facing invented charges and allegations during the campaign period, Sotto emphasized his focus on fulfilling his current duties without considering future political ambitions at this time.

He highlighted that programs, projects, and services will continue to improve over the next six years as seen during his previous terms.

Sotto's one-sided victory in 2025 showed that people no longer want traditional politics, the cycle of corruption, and dirty tactics like mudslinging and vote-buying.
