Velasco: Original term-sharing deal followed in House committee chairmanships

Speaker Lord Allan Velasco said on Monday that the original term-sharing deal with former Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano was followed in maintaining House committee chairmanships.

Velasco pointed out during an interview on GMA News’ Unang Balita that Cayetano had broken their agreement by denying him the speakership four times.

He emphasized that under their original arrangement, only Velasco and the Speaker of accounts would switch roles, while the majority leader remained unchanged as Martin Romualdez.
