Velasco backs Duterte's call for special session

Marinduque Representative Lord Allan Velasco supports President Duterte's call for a special session in Congress next week.

Velasco welcomed the resumption of plenary discussions from October 13 to October 16, aimed at passing the proposed national expenditure plan for 2021.

He criticized Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano and his loyalists for prematurely ending budget debates, urging a safe and secure environment in accordance with health protocols.

On Thursday, Velasco also joined calls from lawmakers to resume plenary deliberations on the 2021 national budget, emphasizing that the premature termination of these discussions has raised concerns across various sectors.
