Velasco: Cayetano defying deal for 2022 ambition

Marinduque Representative Lord Allan Velasco accused Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano of fighting for his personal ambition to become President in 2022.

Velasco said Cayetano is defying an agreement brokered by President Rodrigo Duterte, which was supposed to end Cayetano's Speakership on October 14.

Cayetano moved to approve the proposed P4.5-trillion national budget for 2021 and adjourned the session until November 16, extending his tenure as Speaker.
