Baguio prepares hero's welcome for Miss Supranational Philippines winner Tarah Valencia

Baguio City is preparing a hero's welcome for Tarah Valencia, who won the Miss Supranational Philippines 2025 title and placed as the third runner-up in Miss Universe Philippines 2024.

Alec Mapalo, Baguio City tourism officer, highlighted that this tradition celebrates the achievements of local beauty queens.

Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong praised Valencia on social media for representing not only Baguio but also the entire country.

Valencia, a 23-year-old graduate from the University of Baguio with a degree in Tourism Management and cum laude honors, has won several titles including Miss Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio and Miss Baguio Turismo.

The Miss Universe Philippines Organization announced that Valencia will represent the country in international pageants, focusing on her platform of sustainable tourism and responsible environmental initiatives.

Valencia's commitment to balancing tourism growth with natural resource preservation reflects her dedication to a cause close to her heart as she grew up in Baguio.
