Valdez leads all-female PH delegation as flag bearer

Filipina athletes will take center stage at the opening ceremony of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games on Friday, May 5, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Volleyball star Alyssa Valdez will serve as the Philippines' flag bearer for the second time, leading an all-female delegation that includes sprinter Kristina Knott, billiards player Rubilen Amit, basketball player Afril Bernardino, footballer Sarina Bolden, and golfer Rianne Malixi.

Philippine Olympic Committee president Rep. Abraham 'Bambol' Tolentino stated that Valdez is the best fit for their goal of an almost all-female delegation in the parade of nations.
