Cambodia opens SEA Games with Filipino all-female parade

Cambodia officially opened the 32nd Southeast Asian Games on Friday with an elaborate opening ceremony at Morodok Techo Stadium.

An all-female Filipino delegation led by volleyball star Alyssa Valdez marched in the parade wearing Francis Libiran-designed 'Araw' barong outfits.

The Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham Tolentino said this was a tribute to women athletes and gender equality.

Other notable athletes in the delegation included basketball players Jack Animam, Janine Pontejos, Mikka Cacho, and Afril Bernardino, trackster Kristina Knott, and boxer Nesthy Petecio.
