All-female Team PH to lead SEA Games opening parade

An all-female delegation of 50 Filipino athletes will represent Team Philippines in the Parade of Nations at the opening ceremony of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on May 5.

This marks a historic first for the SEA Games as the Philippine Olympic Committee President Abraham Tolentino announced that only women athletes will be part of the parade.

The delegation will wear white barongs named 'Araw' designed by Filipino fashion icon Francis Libiran and will include three men: Tolentino, chef de mission Chito Loyzaga, and flag bearer Alyssa Valdez.
