UST vows strong finish after elimination from UAAP

UST men's basketball team vows to finish strong in its last three games despite being eliminated from UAAP Season 86 after losing to Ateneo Blue Eagles on Wednesday.

Ateneo secured a decisive victory over UST with a score of 67-59, ending their three-game losing streak and improving their record to 5-6.

Kai Ballungay led Ateneo with a double-double performance of 15 points and 14 rebounds, while Chris Koon contributed 12 points and six rebounds.

UST fought back in the third quarter but ultimately fell short despite efforts from Nic Cabañero and Kenjie Duremdes to close the gap.

Ateneo coach Tab Baldwin praised his team's defensive effort for limiting UST’s key players, particularly Nic Cabañero who scored only 16 points on a low shooting percentage.
