DLSU men's volleyball team advances to V-League Finals

De La Salle University's men's volleyball team secured a spot in the Finals of the 2024 V-League Men's Collegiate Challenge after winning Game 2 against University of Santo Tomas on Sunday.

The decisive third set match is scheduled for Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City, with the winner advancing to face Far Eastern University in the championship round.

Joshua Magalaman led De La Salle with a game-high 13 points, while UST will rely on Gboy De Vega and middle blockers Trevor Valera and Paul Colinares for their finals push.

Despite missing key player Noel Kampton, DLSU received crucial support from Yoyong Mendoza and Erc Layug in Game 2, contributing six points each.

Coach Jose Roque expressed satisfaction with his team's performance, noting the importance of following through on game plans to keep their title defense alive.
