UP Lady Spikers lose to DLSU Lady Bulldogs in tournament finals

The University of the Philippines (UP) Lady Spikers were swept by the De La Salle University (DLSU) Lady Bulldogs on Wednesday, ending their tournament run.

Bella Belen and Alyssa Solomon led the Lady Bulldogs to their championship victory with strong performances throughout the match.

Angel Canino was the top scorer for UP with 12 points, followed by Shevana Laput and Amie Provido with 10 and seven points respectively.

The UP team struggled as no other player besides Canino's trio scored more than four points.

UP players remained silent after the game without giving interviews to media, respecting their defeat.

Despite the loss, UP supporters cheered for the Lady Spikers who later joined DLSU’s Animo Squad in a celebratory dance before meeting with their own fans.
