Philippines not planning Sinovac booster shots

The Philippine government has no plans to provide booster shots for health workers who received two doses of the Sinovac vaccine.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque cited Dr. Edsel Salvaña's condemnation of a report claiming that hundreds of Thai medical workers were infected despite being fully vaccinated with Sinovac, noting only 618 out of 677,348 were affected.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire stated there is insufficient evidence to recommend booster shots for those vaccinated with Sinovac.
