Philippines receives 1.5M Sinovac vaccine doses

The Philippines received 1.5 million doses of Sinovac's COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday, July 17.

This batch was procured by the government and will be distributed nationwide for second-dose vaccinations.

An additional one million doses arrived earlier in the week, bringing the total number of Sinovac vaccines in the country to 14.5 million.

Vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. stated that a total of 33.26 million doses will be delivered by August.

On July 15, a record-high 391,283 doses were administered, bringing the total number of injected doses to 14.4 million.
